Gresham Concludes Transformative Two-Part Series: “Breaking Money Silence”

CHICAGO – October 28, 2024 – Gresham is pleased to announce the successful completion of its two-part series, “Breaking Money Silence,” led by wealth psychology coach and author Kathleen Burns Kingsbury. The series, part of an ongoing annual program of curated, intimate events focused on women and wealth, began with last year’s “Economics 2030” gathering, hosted by Joline Godfrey. The recent events offered a deep dive into the often-taboo topic of money-related conversations, focusing on empowering women to confidently engage in and lead discussions about wealth.

The first session brought together women from the Gresham team and several clients for an intimate, engaging discussion centered on overcoming the barriers and nuances often surrounding wealth. This session provided participants with tools and insights needed to approach money discussions with confidence, exploring how these conversations impact family dynamics and personal empowerment.

The second and final session, “Mastering Money Talk Skills,” built on these foundations by helping participants enhance their ability to lead wealth conversations with clarity and conviction. The series was an invaluable opportunity for growth, connection, and skill-building, empowering participants to take ownership of their wealth narratives.

“We believe that breaking the silence around money is crucial for fostering deeper financial empowerment,” said Nicole Perkins, Partner and Director of Client Experience & Development. “This series helps give women the tools they need to approach wealth conversations with confidence, and it was inspiring to see the growth and connection that emerged. We are committed to continuing to provide these kinds of educational and empowering experiences for our clients.”

Gresham is proud of the positive impact this ongoing series has had on both its team and clients, and  deeply grateful to Kathleen Burns Kingsbury for her expert guidance.

Additionally, Kathleen will also lead an upcoming Advisors session.
