CHICAGO – August 18, 2021 – Gresham Partners is proud to continue its long tradition of taking an academic and fact-based approach to the financial industry by supporting the new Center on Law and Finance at the Law School of The University of Chicago. Kim Kamin, Gresham’s Chief Wealth Strategist and a 1997 graduate of the Law School, will serve on the Founders’ Committee for the Center. This group of distinguished graduates and friends of the Law School are helping shape this new undertaking at the Law School.
About the Center on Law and Finance
The Center has two primary objectives. The first is to advance research and understanding of how law interacts with – and shapes – financial systems. Leveraging the strength of the University and its strong faculty in law, finance, and economics, the Center will take the next step to be the intellectual leader on tomorrow’s core legal issues in finance. Its other primary objective is to connect its research concretely to the real world. Continuing the Law School’s commitment to the practical application of legal theory, the Center will hold events that foster a meaningful dialogue between academics and practitioners.
