Gresham’s Chief Wealth Strategist, Kim Kamin, Was Elected President of Chicago Estate Planning Council
CHICAGO, IL, June 17, 2020 —Gresham Partners is pleased to announce that Kim Kamin, Principal and Chief Wealth Strategist, was elected President of the Chicago Estate Planning Council (CEPC) at its annual meeting on June 16, 2020. Kim previously served as the CEPC’s Secretary, Treasurer and Vice President, and she has been a member of its Board of Directors since 2012.

The CEPC, established in 1938, is a multi-disciplinary organization of Chicago-area estate planning professionals. Members are subject to a rigorous member-nomination and Board-approval process. The principal objectives of the CEPC are to foster a better understanding of the proper relationship among estate planning specialists from different disciplines and to bring those professionals together in one association; to further the education of members and the public in matters of estate planning; and to encourage the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct.
As Gresham’s Chief Wealth Strategist, Kim leads its development and implementation of estate, wealth transfer, philanthropic, educational and fiduciary planning activities. Kim previously was a partner at Schiff Hardin LLP where she practiced in trusts and estates for many years. Kim is an adjunct professor at the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, on the Editorial Advisory Board of Trusts and Estates Magazine, Regent for the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), on advisory boards for multiple local philanthropic organizations and a member of The Economic Club of Chicago. A frequent speaker and writer nationally, Kim co-authored and co-edited the Leimberg Library Tools & Techniques book, Estate Planning for Modern Families. She received her B.A. from Stanford University and her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
