NEW ECONOMICS: Women, Wealth, and Power in 2030
On June 1, 2023, Gresham launched the inaugural event of a planned series of curated and intimate events focused on women.
The first event was held on June 1, 2023, at Catalyst Ranch in Chicago, where Gresham partnered with Joline Godfrey, financial education expert and host of The Unexpected Table, to host “New Economics: Women, Wealth, and Power in 2023.”
This special event was designed for discussion and brainstorming of important issues regarding the possibilities and opportunities related to the prediction that women will control roughly 70% of the nation’s wealth by 2030.
This demographic anomaly, brought about by the massive transfer of wealth from boomers to millennials and their children is passing into the hands of daughters, spouses, granddaughters, and nieces, women, whose life expectancy tends to be greater than that of the men in their lives, represents a momentous opportunity.
To understand the plans, expectations, hopes and concerns of the women who will directly experience a new wave of capital by 2030, and the power associated with it, the event provided a platform for women to explore, consider and plan impact for themselves, their daughters, their granddaughters—and the future.
