Angelica Russell-Johnson
Since joining Gresham in 2025, she has guided clients through candid discussions about wealth, responsibility, charity, and family dynamics, helping to ensure that a family’s values and legacy, not just its money, stand the test of time.
Angel previously practiced as an attorney in the Private Clients, Trusts, and Estates Group at a large national law firm, with an emphasis on charitable gift planning. Earlier in her career, she held roles at two prominent arts organizations where she gained insight into the inner workings of a nonprofit. She drew on that arts administration background in her practice, advising tax-exempt organizations on formation, dissolution, administration, and governance.
Outside of work, Angel is a dedicated patron of the fine and performing arts. When she isn’t attending gallery openings or shows, you can find her antiquing, making flower arrangements, and enjoying Chicago’s world-class culinary scene.
